Michelle was raised in Ventura's Pierpont beach community in Southern California. She spent her youth outdoors on the sandy beach and in the cold Pacific Ocean waves. She explored nature’s beautiful colors when the tide was low, exposing the hidden life of the ocean. Her collection of shells and sea glass grew as she explored beaches along the coast of California. As an adult, she lived summers on the islands of Maui and Kauai with her two children. Beach combing for shells and ocean tumbled glass have gone from collecting treasures to creating jewelry. Her passion for nature has been a major influence in her art. Michelle studied the art of jewelry making in Santa Barbara with highly talented jewelers. She spent years taking classes to master her distinctive style as a silversmith. She handcrafts custom jewelry pieces using sterling silver, gold, bronze, copper, semi-precious stones, sea glass, and abalone.
